Our new and revised list - Sept 2007 has given many chefs more reason to utalise a greater range of Chefs Pantry products on their menus. The current chef shortage is and will continue to put pressure on kitchens over the summer period.
By using products such as liquid stocks, ready to use sauces, demi glaze, cut vegetables, rosti's, real mayonnaise, PC cooked meats, cooked pork ribs, salads, etc. chefs can control costs, improve productivity, and focus on service without compromising on quality.
We have been spending as much time in kitchens as we can looking at menus, discussing food trends with chefs and looking at changes in the foodservice marketplace. As such our Sept 2007 list was revised and improved to cater to the increasing convienence requirements of chefs.
The main product inquiry from hotels was for portion control easliy costed items to simply heat and serve. like our lamb shanks, large schnitzels, cooked 150 gram beef burgers, 150 gram vegetable burgers, antipasto products, dip range (non supermarket line), meatballs, gluten free - blanched gourmet sausages, fresh pasta, and hand made individual desserts have been in demand.
Function centres have been requesting, kipfler potatoes, potato fondants, baby carrots, antipasto, pastry shells / cases, and a easy to use range of Gluten free Products as well as more individual cakes, FTO - freezer to over bakery lines, for easy service.
Additionally chefs have been purchasing, 20lt whole egg mayonnaise, 10lt tomato relish (for steaks), our 280 gram chicken kiev (5 flavours), 11 inch cake range, new range of waffels, and a breakfast range.
Some customers have requested that Chefs Pantry contract manufacture and stock specific lines / products for them. This has been a win - win for both customer and supplier. If you have this requirement or any interest in our product range please contact us.
